Most 16 ounce packages of bacon contain 16 slices of one ounce each.

Most of the time it’s just the two of us, so four pieces of bacon, two each, fit nicely in the pan. Try baking the bacon if you need to cook more. Here’s how:
Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil. Spray a wire rack with non-stick spray and place on the baking tray. Arrange the bacon in a single layer on the tray & bake at 425 until as crisp as you like, about 25 minutes.
