I think garlic that’s roasted the traditional way in a 400 oven is still the best, but if you’re in a hurry try this:
Break apart one head of garlic. Toss the garlic with 1 Tbsp olive oil and 1 tsp. water in a microwave-safe bowl. Cover, leaving a vent, and microwave until soft, about 90 seconds. Let cool, covered. Squeeze the soft pulp from the roasted garlic.
