Italian Sausage Seasoning

Italian sausage is most often made with ground pork, but a mixture of pork and beef is also good. Ground veal may also be added.

1 1/2 tsp poultry seasoning
1 tsp garlic salt
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp fennel seed
1 tsp red pepper flakes

1. Combine all ingredients in a small bowl. Toss into the ground meat with a fork to mix thoroughly but gently. Let stand at least 30 minutes for flavors to blend.

Servings: 4
Yield: For 1 pound of ground meat
