I like to “cook” these yummy & natural dog treats in a food dehydrator, but if you prefer they can be baked in a very slow oven. A jerky press or cookie press makes quick work of forming them.
2 cups mashed sweet potatoes
1 cup shredded cooked chicken
1/3 cup chicken broth
1 cup quick-cooking oats
1. In the bowl of a food processor, puree the sweet potatoes, chicken, and broth until smooth. Transfer to a large bowl and stir in the oats.
2. Load the treat mixture into a jerky press and force 2″ wide strips onto the trays of a food dehydrator. Dry until crisp.
3. Break the strips into desired lengths and store in the refrigerator when cool.
Oven Temperature: 200°F if not using a dehydrator.
