A bench scraper is a multi-faceted tool. As it’s name suggests, it’s primary use is to move dough around while kneading and forming breads and such, but I use mine to cut things such a gnocci and slice and bake items as well as scoop veggies into a pan.
When I first bought one they were easy to find in any grocery or discount store. You have to look around a bit more these days, but it’s well worth the effort. They are inexpensive, usually in the $5.00 range.
