These little nesting bowls are great for mise en place,  or everything in place, a technique in which recipe ingredients are premeasured before one starts cooking.  Ranging in size from 2 cups to 1/4 cup, each little bowl is also marked at the half way point, so the set of 5 bowls gives 10 measuring options.

This set of bowls was a gift, so I don’t have an actual cost, but I would imagine they could be found in the $10 range on line or in kitchen stores.
