The freezer inventory is one of the most useful sections of my notebook. Once I realized how valuable keeping this inventory was, it was easy to make it a habit. I no longer have to root around in the freezer to see what’s there. I always know what’s on hand and how long it’s been there. By using the oldest products first, I rarely lose food to freezer burn.
The inventory is just a simple list of the contents by date. I keep separate sheets for each section of my freezer, such as “Beef” or “Pork”.
