1 recipe White Wheat Biscuits
16 oz link breakfast sausage
1 Tbsp prepared mustard
1. Preheat oven to 400°.
2. In a large non-stick skillet, partially cook the sausage links until lightly browned. Do not fully cook as the sausage will finish cooking in the oven.
3. Prepare biscuit dough according to the recipe. On a well floured board, pat the dough into a rectangle that is twice the length of the sausage links, usually about 8 inches, and 12 to 16 inches long. With a pizza wheel or sharp knife cut the dough in half lengthwise, then cut crosswise into 8 even sections.
4. Run a line of mustard along the length of each section. Place a sausage link on top of the mustard and form the biscuit dough up around the sausage, sealing the ends. Gently roll the sausage package back and forth to round out the biscuit, and place on a baking sheet.
5. Bake for 15 minutes, or until golden brown. Serve with additional mustard on the side.
